I had planned to do a lot of stitching catching up on my week of holidays, but pulled obliques squashed that plan, and I spent the first four days attached to a microwaveable gel pack. Happily, my obliques are now behaving.
On the second last day of our holiday, we went for a little walk along Georgian Bay.
It was a cool, but beautiful day with a light wind, perfect for keeping the bugs away.
we returned home to find my favourite peony in bloom
the chives in flower
The bay wearing it's summer greens
our chairs waiting by the water's edge
lots of pale pink peonies in bloom
here's a double bumble bloom .....lol
And a shot of turtle island
it's good to be back home
I hope you've had some of the lovely weather we've had during the past two weeks.
Thanks for visiting.
Hugs from Suz

Hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteIt was disappointing, but I got some reading done. I sure was glad to see this lovely spot we call home. Hope you're having a good weekend.

What a shame to be incapacitated on your holiday; the photos are lovely though.
ReplyDeleteI love the peony too,
Shame to not get things done, but home certainly looks beautiful, so nice to see flowers, a bit lacking here at the moment in Oz.
ReplyDeleteI hope your hand is getting better, nothing worse than going on holiday and pulling a something to ruin a holiday.
ReplyDeleteHa ha I am glad you had lovely weather go job you did not come to the UK all we have had is rain with an old look at the sun.
Thank you for sharing your home pictures , you live in such a beautiful place, I don't think I would want to go on holiday and leave it.
Hope you can get some stitching done now you are home
Margaret

Oh dear Suz,
ReplyDeleteWhat a disappointment for you pulling that muscle. You were meant to sit and rest obviously! Glad you are feeling better now.
Love your garden photos and hope you get more chances for beach walks.
Warm healing hugs,

Hi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteMy back is all better ,ow, and I've been making up some stitching time, too.
The thing is, even if one lives in a beautiful spot, there's still always work to do, so we go away one week every two years just to take a break. We appreciate coming back home, though.
Hugs
Yes, Anneliese, everything is fine, now. My back is much better, thanks.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having some wonderful stitching time.

Thank you Suzy. I'm happy to say that my back seems to be all better now. yay! We've had some nice sunny days so the garden is blooming well, and some of the plants are just buzzing! -they're full of bumble bees.

I sure hope it warms up for you soon, Margaret. We're expecting 32C! in the next few days-I'd better water the gardens. I'm happy to say I'm back stitching. Yay!

Oh my and I am sitting here wondering where my obliques are....under a layer of fat, I'm sure. Sometimes our bodies know we need a rest before we know it. Now I need to go and find my obliques...
ReplyDeleteDeb
Did you find them? Twist, turn, or reach, and you've used them. I never knew just how much our obliques are used until I pulled them. Heck, even just walking hurt.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one, Deb.

Lovely pictures Susan. Shucks that you pulled some muscles on a holiday. We just got back from our trip and out of 10 days we only had 2 with no rain. It sure has been a wet spring in SK, AB, & B.C. Now to catch up with TAST and the yard and garden. Hope your obliques don't give you any more trouble.
ReplyDeleteThey're fine now, thanks. Isn't the weather weird? We could use more rain in Ont. Hope the sun shines for you soon!

ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, I'm all better now. Happy stitching!
