It was a beautiful autumn day, and the colours were glorious. I walked out the back garden gate, and turned left onto the walking path behind our house, to the park. These are the sights I saw along the way. The photos tell their story.
Up the hill to the walking path, and back home . I hope you enjoyed the walk in the park.
Thanks for visiting.

Thank you for this lovely walk. What a treat it was via the web, but it must be really a huge treat walking it for real.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend ~ FlowerLady
It's a lovely walk at any time of the year (well, maybe not winter so much) but especially beautiful in the autumn, Lorraine. I plan on walking this more often next year after I get my new 1/2 knee. Thanks for joining me.

Jaw-dropping Gorgeous! !! Thanks for sharing your walk with us. Nature is the Best colour-mixer, has the Best palette, and autumn is the most vibrant !! You seem to be living in an Eden. ..... no wonder you are so inspired & your works reflect all this beauty!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for taking us along :-)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the walk, Muskaan. It was a glorious day!

Oh my goodness Suz. That walk was simply perfect. Thank you for sharing x
ReplyDeleteIt was a perfect day for such a walk, Linda. The sun shone, the air was brisk, but not cold, and a wee, soft breeze carried sounds of the rippling water. I feel so alive when I walk amidst nature. Glad you enjoyed it.

First off yellow leaves are my favorite! And that covered bridge is the bestest in the land :) very nice walk!
ReplyDeleteHow romantic is that covered bridge? Many wedding photos have been taken there over the years, I'm sure. It just beckons to me whenever I am in the park.
DeleteWe drove up to the lake house yesterday, Mad, and you should have seen the gold shimmering on the trees. The larch, aspen and birch were in fine autumn form. You would have loved it!

What a lovely walk I think autumn is such a wonderful time of the year, the colors are magnificent. Here it is spring, but one with a sting in its tail, unseasonably hot and the first fire not too far from us.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Penny, it must be worrying having fires so near. I hope they're soon out, and you get some cooler, wetter weather to keep them away.
DeleteAutumn is my favourite time of year.
Take care.

This is such a glorious walk in the Autumn Spectacular colors and sights. Thank you for sharing your walk with us. Beautiful! Falling into Autum Bliss...
ReplyDeleteSherry, I think most of the colours will soon be gone. We're expecting more frost tonight, and cooler temperatures in the next few days. It's been windy, too, so the leaves are flying off the trees and wending their way back to earth. The coming rain will pelt them to the ground, too. Hope the rains come your way. Thanks.

What a beautiful peaceful spot to walk. No wonder you enjoyed it. I had that lovely rose here but unforti ately it has not survived my departure. Thank you for sharing the stunning autumn colours
ReplyDeleteThis rose is a miniature one I purchased during the early spring. I had to take a photo of it with the sun catching it that way: it positively glowed. You must be back at the farm, Shirley. What a shame your rose didn't survive-- I guess it missed all your TLC.
DeleteThe park is a beautiful place, filled with people at times. Still, with all the trees, there's a hush that falls over the place....a feeling of reverence in the midst of the city. I hope it remains untouched by those who wish to place a 4-lane parkway overhead. Can you imagine? Perhaps the upcoming elections will oust those in favour of such awful destruction.
Take care of each other.

I really enjoyed my stroll with you this morning, what a beautiful park you have right on your doorstep you lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteI am lucky Margaret, to have the walking path to the park right out my garden gate. It's used by many people in the neighbourhood, and beyond, for travelling around the city. So glad you enjoyed the stroll, too!

What a lovely walk on your doorstep, good exercise for your poor knee. Aren't we lucky to live in such beautiful places!
ReplyDeleteYes we are, Emma. I know you have beautiful scenery around you, too. Though I miss the forest up at the lake house, the walking path and park are wonderful places, too. Glad things have settled down a little for you, and you'll have more time for creating.

Thank`s dear for taking me on a walk through your beautiful park,- what a wonderful place, and so filled with fantastic colours.
ReplyDeleteI hope your sunday is lovely, dear Suz !
Hugs, Dorthe
Thank you so much, Dorthe! I hope you've been having a wonderful Sunday, too. It is much cooler today, and many of the leaves have fallen. I expect the park will look a little bare today.

Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJanet, it was a gorgeous day!

What a lovely walk to take on a Sunday afternoon!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was, MA! I so enjoyed it, too, and my knee wasn't to bad after, either. I took it slow.....well, had to keep stopping to take pics, didn't I?...lol

Beautiful photos, Suz. It's been a nice weekend here, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy. Today was colder, although the sun was shining. Frost last night, so I think the warm days of autumn are behind us.

Wow - beautiful scenery and such lovely colours. Every Fall I say it is my favourite time of year {I say it about Spring come March too!}... the cool air, the colours of the leaves - they seem to make the sky bluer than ever, with their warm rich reds and golds... thank you for the "Grand Tour"!
ReplyDeleteYou said it, Jillayne! The colours were fabulous. Glad you enjoyed the autumn stroll.

beautiful images Susan....how long until all this is covered in snow?
ReplyDeleteHey, nothing like putting a damper on the beauty of autumn, eh Karen?! *:P tongue sheesh!
ReplyDeleteTo answer the question (even if it was tongue-in-cheek) (and a bit cheeky, too!) it depends on the year and the place. Some years we'd already have snow if we were a bit further north, like at the lake house. Usually by mid-November, there is snow in central to south Ontario. Again, it varies due to the temperatures and moisture. The experts are calling for another cold and snowy winter again this year. *:-O surprise

A lovely Autumn walk, thanks for sharing these pretty photo's.

It was such a beautiful day, Vicki, and I fell under the spell of Nature's glory.
DeleteI hope you are well.

So lovely to walk with you, Suz. So, so beautiful and great photography
ReplyDeleteThanks Dianne. I'm so glad you came along.
DeleteThe camera is a nice point and shoot type, and then I use Picasa (free) to adjust the photo (crop, lighten, brighten etc.,) so I can't really take credit for the photography. Most of the photos have been adjusted in one way or another. I love my camera, and I love Picasa-- they make me look good. ;-)
