June CQJP

I finally finished my June CQJP........only a day late. We had some power outtages and connection problems due to storms, so I had to wait before posting this.

the before
a stitched star, a metal star, and a sparkly star sticky
silver snowflake trim
a bead trail on lace
and a silver seam treatment......playing with the cable chain stitch, I came up with a figure 8 cable chain........

maybe it's clearer here
and my finished June CQJP!

Here comes July!

Hope you're all having some stitchy fun.

Thanks for visiting.

  12. Thank you, Jillayne. My plan is to make a wall hanging and maybe also a table runner of the Christmas blocks, so I'll have a yearly reminder of my challenge as we decorate the house for the Christmas season.
Hope you're having a wonderful summer.

  13. Thanks, Shirley. I'm excited, too, and can't wait for them to arrive! August 9 is when they arrive in Toronto! Yay! You can bet I'll be taking lots of pics. The only ones I have are computer pics, and I have a pretty little brag book to fill with real photos! Just a month now.......

  14. Hey Margaret, thank you. I probably didn't invent that stitch. No doubt Sharron will be assigning it under an already-known name.
My blocks are ~ 7 1/2 inches square.
    Happy stitching!
