Cuffs

ooops, I had this all ready and forgot to post it.......better late than never..........lol

I'm running late this week, but it's all been about the cuff bracelets:

lace, tatting, beads, and embroidery.........

some have dangles, too

ribbons, toggles, buttons.......
some need pressing and some need buttons......

some are simple, and others are fancy
  some need toggles or clips,

but all have been stitched,

even the ones with butterflies
  some are pretty, some rugged

some are for children, but most are for larger wrists to sport

there are hearts, too

and if you've been counting, there are 21 cuffs for the Embroidery Guild table, and one on my wrist

Do you have a favourite? Which one?

Well, I must finish the closures, add the buttons, toggles and clasps as these are going out tomorrow morning.

Where are my skates?  lol

I'll catch up to y'all soon.

  3. Wishing you good luck with some sales of your cuffs, Suz. I love the lacy ones. Which type are you wearing? It pays to advertise!

    1. Dianne, thanks for those good wishes. Since all the money goes to charity, it would be great if everything sold out! I was wearing the first one I did in soft browns/beiges with lace strips and beads with french knots down the middle. I showed it on an earlier post.

    1. I think that one is my favourite, too. The denim had such a nice weight to it, and was slightly stretchy, and felt warm on my wrist. I was a bit surprised by that. DH donated the denim............ ;-)

  7. Dear Suz,
They are so beautiful, and such a fantastic work from your heart, again.
I love the first row, with the thin lace on top of the denim, a wonderful mixture.

    1. I'm not surprised you like that one, Dorthe. The lace is antique, and very fine. I added a few beads for a touch of bling, but it's a simple, classic look, I think.... Thanks.

    1. I'm not sure, Judy. I didn't go to the meeting today, so I may find out later next week. When I was there, they were in a basket at the back of the table so I'm not sure how visible they were. The table was quite crowded with goodies, so I suspect they made their entrance once there was a bit more room......I hope they sold well.

  9. Suz Dear you have truly put your heart and soul into making these cuffs for the guild sale. I truly hope they sold out! It is fun to create one and enjoy the process so much you just keep creating them...rather addictive I would say. Creative Cuff Bliss...

    1. You're certainly right about the addictive part, Sherry. It was also easier to do them in an assembly-line format rather than completing one fully before starting the second. That way I could spend several evenings watching tv and embroidering or tatting several of the cuffs. I enjoyed that. Thanks.

    1. Thanks Karen! I made a total of 22. One I kept as it was a rough draft and had stitching showing on the back, one didn't turn out quite right, and so I took 20 to the sale. Kept me out of trouble for a little while........ lol!

  13. Your cuffs are gorgeous - I looked at them twice trying to pick a favourite and can't - they are just so pretty. It must be wonderful to work on so many at once, trying out all your ideas, and using your pretty treasures - and how lovely they all look together... marvelous!
