Summer Fun

There was a bit of painting going on:

Creating a background

yellows

adding some greens

more greens and some brown, red

dried, and a little dull, but a good background for what comes next. I hope....

playing with leaves on an old, ugly painting
practicing painted leaf imprints

a ghost print
Thinking about adding leaf prints to the background......

Some stitching was accomplished this week. I made more Purple Project pieces:

I began embellishing PPP #4

I tatted these Bud Fragments ( Mary Konior:  Tatting With Visual Patterns )

a few photos from my gardens.......

I hope you had a wonderful and creative week.

Thanks for visiting.

Hugs from Suz

    1. Thank you, Shirlee! I needle tat, which is easier than shuttle-tatting, I think. I'm catching up on all the garden work......so one of these days I might be able to Just lounge about and enjoy it. ;-) Hugs

    1. Hi Margaret. I wish I had painted this on fabric--what a background it would make for an embroidered garden! Alas, it is only on paper. The gardens are enduring a hot spell, and we've not had much rain the last 2 months, so I have to water regularly to keep the plants alive. Hoping we get the forecasted rain..........Thanks.

    1. Thanks Margaret! Unfortunately the gardens are a bit stressed from the lack of rain, but I hope we get some soon. I'm contemplating the painting, and what I should do next. The thread is a Lizbeth #129.

  7. I love reading your posts, there is always so much to take in. It took me ages to realise I could overpaint pages I did not like! Your stitching is always fascinating and your garden is gorgeous. I agree with Penny, it is lovely to see summer flowers in our winters.

    1. Thanks Robin! I threw out a lot of paintings before I realized I could add more layers to them, too. Of course, mixed media wasn't such a hot topic way back then. All the paper I threw away! oh, well, lesson learned, right?
