Shirley of Shirley's Twisted Threads graciously offered to send me a tatting book and some thread. What a lovely thing to do!
When the package arrived, it was a lot larger than I'd expected. And look at all that thread!
I can't purchase this thread in any of the stores near me, so this was a wonderful surprise! I love the colors!
The book Shirley sent me has such interesting designs, and I'm looking forward to tatting them all!
Thank you so much for thinking of me Shirley, and being so generous sending these treasures!
Now, on to tatting!
I hope you have nice surprises in your day.
Thanks for visiting.
Hugs from Suz

Great threads and I love the photo of the crane on your header. I always enjoy seeing them fly over and think of it as a little blessing.

You have some beautiful threads! I can hardly wait to see what you make from that book. I love tatting inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ladies! What am I going to do with the thread? I'm going to tat! I have to try out the patterns in the book and all the threads and see what I can make. I have a few projects ongoing, and some of the thread is just perfect.

Hey Diane, I promise I'll share! I'll post project pics. I'll post gaffs.(though maybe not all of them....they'll out-number the keepers!)

How generous of Shirley. I'm sure you'll create something beautiful, as usual.
ReplyDeleteI have never done dimensional tatting, I can't wait to see what you create :)

Puppet Lady, generous is so right!
ReplyDeleteBree, I've done some dimensional tatting before, but this looks different. I'll post some when I get them finished.

Shirley is such a sharing lady and I am so blessed to have her as a friend. Hope your tatting gift brings you a lot of pleasure. Di.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dianne. Good friends are wonderful treasures, and I'm pleased to count Shirley as a friend too. I know her gift will generate many happy hours of tatting pleasure. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice surprise package to receive. I am just learning how to tat. I am amazed at how one little thread can be so difficult...or is it my fingers? At least I won't give up. I have been wanting to tat for at least most of my life but unfortunately didn't learn from my Grandma's friends who tatted. Happy tatting...
ReplyDeletesigh....al that thread...heaven!
ReplyDeleteCreatology, I sent you an email. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Karen! I want to play.
Hugs
I'm now inspired to borrow some books on tatting from our library & learn how to tat!
ReplyDeleteThat's fabulous JennyPennyPoppy! There are also lots of vids on youtube for shuttle and needle tatting, and you might like to check out Georgia Seitz's Online Tatting Class. It's free, and I'm learning so much. Tons of patterns, class tatting in a chat, and fabulous people eager to help you learn!
