We had to go to the city, and, DH drove. I tatted, and doodled this edging:
What? It's not an edging?
oh, yeah, I added too many ds's to the last round, and it ruffled
so, I gathered up the picots, adding 2ds between each one, and joined them into a ring
Ta da!
okay, it's a bit wonky right now....
I think if I damp-stretched it, it'll be fine........maybe ;-)
Hope you're having fun doing what you love.
Thanks for visiting.

Lovely piece looks like a fan to me, or a flower.

I think you made some peacock feathers! Pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeleteMargaret,Annet, you both have good ideas. I can see it as a fan, and as a peacock tail. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHow about a tiny little baby bonnet for a little baby doll? Great way to pass the road trip time. I also see a fan and peacock feathers. How fun is this?!!
ReplyDeleteI saw a turkey without the body/head. It's very nifty looking, but I think it'd be REALLY interesting to see what everyone 'sees'! *twists head* Hmm... Maybe even a heart if flipped over...
ReplyDelete♥,
Stephanie Grace
Createology, those are good ideas, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie for sharing what you 'see' in my tat!

that's a pretty one. now what do you want to do with it?
ReplyDeleteIt will probably find its way on my Christmas CQJP. Might have to bling it up a little, but we'll see. Hope you are well.

Very nice way to spend time on a road trip. I can 'see' this on a CQ with perhaps a little embroidered face peeking out.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of using it as a frame, but that's a good idea! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is like another language! I can see you've been very clever! I get car sick if I do anything in the car (or bus - train is fine!)such a waste of time!
ReplyDeleteYes, Emma, tat-speak! lol I've always done something in the car when we traveled to the cottage on weekends, I would read, as I did on the bus to and from work. I feel more queasy watching the scenery whip by. Funny how we're all different.

Suz I love this tatted piece! I don't think it is wonky at all. Wouldn't it make a great turkey tail.
ReplyDeleteOops, should have read the other posts first
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it would! I think I have some turkey-coloured thread around here, too! Thanks, Connie.
