Flowers and PPP #3

My gardens are still blooming:

June has flown. How did that happen?
We had wonderful guests for 3 days, so not much stitching was accomplished. I did, though, manage to finish purple piece #3.

Meandering chain stitch, sparkle chainette zig-zag, and curled silk ribbon are new additions

Zig-zags in pink and green threads, a fat line of french knots, and couched decorative yarn complete the embellishments.

Purple project piece #3.

I hope your week was a fun and creative one.

Wishing everyone who celebrates a Happy Canada Day and a Happy 4th of July. Hope your weekend is wonderful!

Thanks for visiting.
Hugs from Suz

  4. Your flowers are gorgeous - I have always been impressed by peonies. Just have to hope that it doesn't rain too much while they're in bloom because it weights them down so much. Love the purple (of course!!)

    1. Thanks MA! I have several vases of peonies in the house scenting the rooms, but they are fading. sniff. We had some high winds that knocked them over so I had to rescue them. I've enjoyed them so much.

  5. Love your crazy-quilted block Suz... the colours are so beautiful, and the perfect inspiration for this time of year.
We had such a hot spring that everything is almost three weeks ahead - my peonies are long finished, cherries are done and we're eating potatoes out of the garden already. It's been so crazy I've had almost no time for stitching or sewing at all!
Hope all is well with you,

    1. We had a funny, late spring, and so we're a little behind. \i fell a bit further behind, too, so my veg garden is very late-- my tomato plants have been flowering for a week only, and the lack of rain means everything is growing slower than normal. I still have a couple of peonies in the garden, but the ones I brought into the house last week are fading. I'm getting better, and hope you are well. Maybe you'll soon find some stitching time. ;-) Thanks.
