I've been ordering some goodies! Oh, what fun!
beautiful hand-dyed thread perfect for tatting
I ordered this book from Georgia Seitz, and she very kindly included two thread samples!
Sorry for the glare.....it hides some of this gorgeous 3-d crocheted butterfly on the cover of Piecework. I wonder if this design could be tatted.
ribbons, and more ribbons, and vintage sequins
an assorted package of materials, ribbons, lace, thread, and trims all perfect for CQing!
And more lovely 'Wildfowers' thread
I've been terribly naughty, and I ordered more wonderful items. I've been waiting for them to arrive, but it's taking soooo long.

Hi Judy,
I've heard a lot about silk ribbons and thought I should try different ones and see what they're like.( I've only tried one once before) I figure, I don't buy shoes, or clothes other than essentials, so I deserve a little stash bonus, don't you think so?
Eliz, and Shirley, I'll sure post pics of what I make....it may take a little time, though, but I'm having fun planning! Thanks for stopping by!
Diane, now I know why everyone raves about Mary's patterns--they're fantastic! I've already had some fun testing a few. Have a good weekend.
Hi Jon, and thanks so much for your nice comment on my blog. I'm having fun gathering a nice stash, so then I can spend lots of time being busy tatting, without fear of running out of thread. LOL I love your blog! Thanks for sharing your patterns with everyone, and for inspiring me to tat better (and more often!)
Have a nice weekend. Hugs

ReplyDeleteI love your new threads and other goodies. It's been a while since I added some to my stash. But I've got some lovely perle 5 from one of my friends, I used it for the cover of my Plos fabric book.
ReplyDeleteOh, I intend to, Karen! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAren't the perles nice to use, Annet? I have a few of the 12's I love.

ReplyDeleteSuz,
ReplyDeleteBeing naughty at times feels nice, isn't it? If we balance our expenses splurging on hobby is allowed :)
You're right, Deepa! I'm thinking I should be naughty more often! But, I do budget, so I can splurge every now and then. Hope you've been 'naughty' too. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWow Suz! soooo deeelishussss - all those wonderful colours and textures. I'm sure you will be able to work out how to tat that beautiful butterfly too! A little of what you fancy does you good - even though it looks a bit more than a 'little'!!
ReplyDeleteHow right you are, Val! I plan to be good to myself a little more often. I've been looking at the butterfly, but I haven't tried tatting it yet. That could be interesting. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that as you haven't blogged a lot that you are beavering away with all these goodies!!??
ReplyDeleteHi Karen. Actually, we were busy with the choir concerts last weekend, and then had connection problems off and on due to storms and fallen trees. It's nice to have my comp back.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to playing with my goodies, soon! Hugs
