Sunlight and Shadow in the Garden

I just wanted to share some garden pics with you. I love the dappled sunlight under the trees, and shadows formed by plants onto one another and rocks.

And the lake, too. Table and chairs in shadow down at th lake's edge.

My white clematis is blooming again.
Purple-Flowering Raspberry grows underneath an oak tree. It's a shrub with maple-like leaves, and  rose-like flowers. It grows wild in the woods in clearings and at the wood edges.
The driveway is shaded in the early afternoon.
I found a toadstool hiding in the weeds.
Look just how big it is! (hmmmm, guess that says how big the weeds are, too. shhh)
What's this? A Garden Fairy hiding behind the heuchera!
 plant shadows
Sunlight and shade on the path into the woods.
Another pic of the driveway. ( it's 1km long!)
at the driveway 'Y'
Shaded ferns and sunlit weeds.

Here's hoping your day has lots of sunlight in it.
Thanks for visiting.
Hugs from Suz

  3. Thanks, Bsotf, and welcome back: I had missed your posts. Yes, I am lucky to live in this place, although you might not like the winter pics as much. ;-) Gotta pay for the gorgeous summers, though.

  4. Hi Fox. Yes, it's nice sitting under the trees at the water's edge reading a good book, or tatting, especially once all the bugs are fading. I've taken Cody the dog down for a water playtime, and sat in the chair tossing his water toys, and tatting between tossing. I don't get much tatting accomplished, but we both have a bit of fun!

  5. It's like really coming for a walk with you. It is so rainy here-- just wet, wet, wet. A day for crafting and chilling. And of course a little bit of blog hopping and I love hopping over to yours.
Thanks for kind comments about the prickles!
    Kindest Regards Linda

  6. Oh, I hate it when there are a lot of grey days with tons of rain! Makes my mood all muddy, too. I hope the rain ends soon. But at least it gives you an opportunity to do your art, crafts, or blog surf. I feel guilty if it's a gorgeous day and I'm inside on the computer. I do it anyway, sometimes, but I feel guilty.lol.

  8. Hi Agasunset! It is gorgeous scenery (at least when it's not winter) and there is much peace and serenity here (especially when all the cottagers are gone home) and you can come and visit anytime! I am blessed, yes.

  11. What a pretty spot to live. Must give you much peace and serenity. In today's rushed world, quiet is a rafe thing. Love your tea cups and snowy scene!

  12. It's very pretty, Judy, most times. The winter two years ago when we had over ten feet of snow, it wasn't pretty! But still very peaceful, quiet, and serene. I walk out into the woods and feel all my problems dissipate beneath nature's splendor. What a gift!

  13. What a beautiful place you live in. I am in S.Ontario and I don't even know where this is LOL, shows you I don't get out much.
I live by Lake Ontario but not right on the edge like you , just a few mins walk.

  14. Hi Lynn and thanks for dropping by. I live approximately 30 minutes outside of Bancroft. The lake is so small, even a lot of the local people don't know it's here! I used to live in Scarborough, not far from the bluffs, but that was a long time ago. Hugs
